Shropshire Canal

Currently on the Shropshire Canal/ We hope to over-winter here - there is good access to water etc and the pubs are friendly. Here are some of the good things about being  in the Black Country - Gray Paes- tham bostin - I haven't cooked them yet but everyone says they're very good. Real bacon - no water or white stuff. Pints of mild in every pub. Frying tomatoes. Bottles of milk with cream on top. Brown bread (not necessarily wholemeal). Vanilla slices. Chips cooked in dripping with scraps *Black Country museum.
We have owls at night and kingfishers by day. The cats enjoy finding shrews and the dogs are enjoying going in pubs again.
